I have an electric piano I’d like to donate to you, if you would like it. It doesn’t take up much room and has hardly been used. It has lots of fun features to play around with. If you’re interested let me know. I can deliver it.

I notice many who would like to help with research, volunteer, mentor and a willingness to advocate for the LGBTQ population. A non-profit organization for anti-bullying to reduce LGBTQ suicide rate in Utah will start April 2017. The program is called Youth Edification Equine Association and Alliance (YEEHAAA). We are looking at University students and volunteers that will bring their expertise in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (S.T.E.A. M.). The program will start in Salt Lake City, after school program, and then expand next year to other schools. If your interested, please contact Caron Hunter at 801.898.8419 or Sharon Baxter at 801.706.9612.

Hi, my name is Lexi and I’m a social work student at Weber State. I’m doing research for a presentation to fellow social workers on potential risk factors associated with and faced by members of the LDS Church who have same-sex attraction. Do you have an agency representative that I could speak with? I put my contact information below if anyone is interested in helping me with this.

    Good Morning,

My name is Jane Lyon and I am working with the University of Utah to compile information about LGBT youth homelessness in Utah. We will be working all next semester to collect data, resources, stories, experiences and anything that can be offered to aid in our research. We are also aiming to create a safety network among organizations here in Utah to support one of the most vulnerable groups in our state.

My research partner and I would be more than willing to meet with you and discuss the issues one on one. Topics of interest include but are not limited to: food security of LGBT youth, human trafficking rates, LGBT suicides, causes of child homelessness, rates of homelessness among LGBT community members and any new information on federal and state policies that would affect the above issues. We would greatly appreciate any information that you have to pass along. Thank you for your time and your work.

    Jane Lyon

I have a friend that has moved recently to Utah with her son and he is LBTGQ. They are in a more rural area and need a place where he can meet with other LGBTQ youth and find other resources. How would they go about obtaining information on events and such?

The Weber County Library has a tradition of reaching out to those who might otherwise spend the December holiday season alone or without cause to celebrate. The Library Open House is a community celebration for those seeking an opportunity to participate in a lively and festive holiday gathering. Due to the current closure and ongoing renovation of the Main Library, the Open House will be held in the Education Center at Ogden’s First Presbyterian Church. A free shuttle will be available to transport people between the UTA bus stop, located at 25th Street and Jefferson Avenue, and the Church.

Invitations are sent to neighboring homeless shelters and are distributed throughout the community. Local restaurants use their kitchen facilities to help prepare a fantastic meal while individuals donate warm winter hats, gloves, and socks for anyone in need. Guests will be treated to a live concert featuring the Red Desert Ramblers and a magic show starring Elias “Lefty” Caress.

Board members and Friends of the Library welcome guests, staff and volunteers cheerfully serve the meal, and the Library Foundation provides postcards for anyone who wishes to contact a friend or family member. Sponsors are always welcome and appreciated!

The event is free and open to the public. For more information please contact:

    Hello OUTreach Resource Center,

NYU’s online master’s program in Communicative Sciences and Disorders is making an effort to raise public awareness of the importance of healthy voice modification within the transgender community.

According to our experts, working with a Speech-Language Pathologist lowers the risk of damage to the voice when following a do-it-yourself program without guidance from a professional. Attempting the process independently may lead to using their voice ineffectively, pushing – trying to make a sound that their instrument can’t make.

With the support of NYU Steinhardt faculty member Celia Stewart and Master Clinician Darlene Monda, we recently put together a piece entitled, Achieving Authentic Voices: Voice Modification for People in the Transgender Community, which discusses finding an authentic voice in a safe and healthy way.

Would you be interested in sharing this information as a resource on your site? We would love your support to help us educate the transgender community about the importance of leveraging a clinical guide in their process to finding their most authentic voice.

    The link is listed below:

Please let me know if you’d be willing to help support this public awareness effort.

Hi! My name is Bexi. I recently established the Utah chapter of the LGBT Pink Panthers Movement, and I was looking to reach out to the other LGBT resources in the area to collaborate. Our biggest mission, at this point, is youth outreach and safety awareness.

    Hi my name is Ben.

I’m writing a feel-good, LGBTQ+ newspaper article for the WSU Signpost.

Please get back with me, even if an interview is not plausible. Thanks!

calling it what it is. This is radical Islamic terrorism. This isn’t battling Germany, this isn’t battling Japan where they’re wear regalia. These are individuals who turn out and you have no clue who they are and he wouldn’t like to examine it with and he wouldn’t like to appropriately depict it. also, in the event that you don’t talk about it and portray it appropriately, you’re never going to take care of the issue.

My name is Ben. I’m a student journalist at WSU.

I’m writing a feel good article on the year anniversary since the supreme court ruling legalized same sex marriage and how that decision has impacted Weber County.

I would love to speak with those who have been directly affected by that in ANY way.

Thanks. Please email or call / text me.

Several of us are organizing an inclusive Boy Scout Troop in SLC. We have enough adult leaders for the application but would welcome more. We want to reach out to kids who would benefit from a safe place and enjoy some of the better activities scouts enjoy. We are being sponsored by the MCC group. We meet weekly at 11:00 AM for services at the Pride Center. Please email me at if you know someone who would benefit or like to participate with us. 801 298 2570 Thanks

I have an Acer Chromebook C710 that I no longer need. It still works, although it is about 2-3 years old. Instead of just sending it, I wanted to check first to see if it would be an item that you or your clients might need. If not, I have a few other charities that I would like to consider.

As the 2015 comes to a close, human-I-T (formerly Computers for a Cause) wants to see how our technology donation has made a difference in your organization or in the lives of your clients over the last few years.

We would truly appreciate your help in return, by spending 5 mins and sharing a testimonial using the link below. Thank you and Happy Holidays!

I am curious if there are volunteer opportunities where myself and a friend could help together for a few hours before the end of the year? We meet the criteria but I didn’t know how long the background check takes. We both work for an airline and had to go through checks for that. Thanks :)
